Type of Member

Rosa Flores is a television journalist who has contributed news reports at the national, state and local levels. Presently she covers enterprise and breaking news stories at WDSU-TV, the NBC affiliate in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is also the author of Progreso, a history book about her hometown. Rosa is currently working on several fiction books, including a middle grade novel. Rosa completed her undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Accounting. She worked for accounting firm KPMG for two years and received the firms National Award for Community Service. In 2011 Rosa was selected to participate in the Peter Jennings Project for Journalists and the Constitution and for the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting Oil Spill Seminar. Rosa is also an avid photographer. She documents her travels with pictures and is working on several abstract photo essays, including a compilation of Louisiana sunrises.

Yvette M. Jones
Executive Vice President for University Relations and Development
Tulane University
Yvette M. Jones is Executive Vice President for University Relations and Development at Tulane University.  Ms. Jones is Tulane University’s chief advancement and external affairs officer with responsibility for garnering financial support of the university from all philanthropic sources; coordinating and overseeing the university’s relationship with all government agencies, including federal, state, and local entities; and developing a cohesive communications, visual identity, marketing and branding strategy for the university in all forms of media in its outreach to both internal and external constituencies. Ms. Jones is the chief liaison to the Tulane Board and all external advisory boards and councils in developing plans for Tulane’s first campaign to raise more than $1 Billion.  She has served Tulane University in a variety of administrative roles since 1979.  Ms. Jones is an active member of the higher education community, and serves as a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).  She is also active in the New Orleans community as a member of the boards of Idea Village, the Greater New Orleans Biosciences Economic Development District, the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, and the Louisiana Women’s Forum.  Ms. Jones holds Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Tulane University.
